Thorn Visal’s Reasons Why He Chose to Study Law at AUPP!

1. Why did you choose law?

I find Law to be a suitable major for me because I enjoy dissecting, and evaluating certain topics by using laws, logic, and critical thinking. In addition, it is also a major that provides financial security and opportunities such as traveling and connecting with people from different fields, which I appreciate.

2.Tell us more about your AUPP academic experience?

AUPP is unique in the sense that it offers a dual degree program. Professors here are highly qualified and open-minded. The environment here is diverse. Professors are from different backgrounds making academic experiences more enjoyable. The atmosphere on campus is serene. There are many club activities to participate in, such as soccer club, dance club, and art club. Those activity clubs are beneficial for students to socialize and relax after classes.

3.What is your recommendation/advice for the recent high school graduates who want to choose your current major?

Choose what you love and what you are passionate about. That is my recommendation for new high school graduates. University is a test of endurance, patience, and hard work. There will be ups and downs, so by doing what you love it keeps you going. It provides incentives for you to keep moving forward.

4. How does AUPP help you to succeed?

AUPP encourages students to use critical thinking and creative thinking skills, think outside of the box, and assess situations, to look at things from different perspectives. Furthermore, AUPP also pushes us to be independent and to take charge of our schedules. Students here can work at their own pace.

5.Why should new students choose AUPP?

Quality education, high standards, and professionalism are the strong points for new students who consider choosing AUPP. AUPP is one of the few universities which allow students to obtain internationally recognized degrees locally by offering a dual degree program partnering with universities from the US, such as The University of Arizona and Fort Hays State University.
