Cultivating Climate Leaders: AUPP’s Alumni and Student Shine at The Asian Young Leader for Climate and Environment Program and Earthshot Prize Week 2023.
In a remarkable display of talent and commitment, AUPP’s alumni, Rim Naven (Law), and AUPP student, Sok Liling (Business), proudly represented Cambodia at the prestigious Cultivating Climate Leaders: The Asian Young Leader for Climate and Environment program. This transformative program, organized by Common Purpose and generously supported by Temasek Foundation and American Express, brought together 51 exceptional young leaders from across Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific region.
From the 5th to the 10th of November, Singapore served as the vibrant backdrop for this influential program, designed to empower and inspire the next generation of climate leaders. One of the program’s most captivating highlights was the participants’ exclusive attendance at ‘The Earthshot Prize Week,’ a globally renowned event founded by none other than Prince William, the Prince of Wales himself.
This extraordinary opportunity provided Rim Naven and Sok Liling with a unique platform to engage with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and collaborate on innovative solutions to address the pressing environmental challenges that our planet faces. Through a series of impactful workshops, interactive discussions, and immersive experiences, they gained invaluable insights, knowledge, and perspectives from renowned experts, thought leaders, and fellow passionate change-makers.
