Thanksgiving 2014 at AUPP

AUPP students, faculty, and administrators got together on Friday November 28 for the University’s second celebration of the U.S. holiday of Thanksgiving. They did so in a traditional American way, with a dinner of roast turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and cranberry sauce, followed by the quintessentially Thanksgiving dessert of pumpkin pie.

The gathering was not all about food, however. AUPP faculty and administrators gave short presentations on the history and meaning of Thanksgiving, what it means to them, how it has change over time, and what the holiday has in common with celebrations of thanks in other cultures and other parts of the world.
