Students Share Research in Poster Fair

Students at AUPP in California State University Long Beach’s (CSULB) American Language Institute (ALI) Level 3 program presented topics of their choice to those interested. Most of the AUPP faculty and staff members arrived in the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) to show their support for students giving presentations. Most of the students were nervous but shared with vigor the information they researched for the project.

Students constructed posters with information about a topic of interest and presented the information those who came through the CSI. Presentation topics ranged from the importance of the environment to business practices, and everything in between. One presenter chose Mark Zuckerberg, Co-Founder and Chairman of Facebook, as their topic due to his success and recognition throughout the world. Other topics included France, pollution, traffic, dogs, and many more.

Students spent one hour presenting to nearly the entire school, and the ALI Instructors were especially impressed. “It’s amazing to see,” stated Dolores Gephart, “most of these students could barely speak English when they arrived and now they are giving full presentation to everyone.”

Everyone seemed to have a great time, and AUPP is proud to have students and Professors that care so much about education and making it accessible to everyone.
