Student Leave of Absence

Students are entitled to request a Leave of Absence (LOA) for life situations, medical conditions or psychological conditions that in the view of a physician or the University that significantly impairs one’s ability to function successfully at the University. The student completes a LOA Form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar with appropriate signatures. The office of the Registrar investigates the situation of the student and makes a recommendation to the President. The authority to grant a LOA, and permission to return from a LOA rests with the Presidents. The LOA regulations and the reinstatement procedures are in the Student Handbook.
