Through a blend of face-to-face seminars every 6–8 weeks at AUPP Foxcroft High School in Phnom Penh and synchronous tutorials, the program equips international school teachers with age-appropriate strategies to apply immediately in the classroom. Progress is assessed through a portfolio of practical assignments and lesson observations during the practicum (capstone).
The PGCE (International) digital badge is a secure, verifiable credential that is easy to share and globally recognized. It contains authenticated details of the holder’s achievements, competencies, assessment criteria, and demonstrated skills. Serving as a skills-based transcript, the badge can be added to LinkedIn profiles, CVs, portfolios, or shared directly with employers.

You will compare leading curricula such as the IB, Cambridge, AP, national and regional models, while engaging with citizenship, equity, inclusion, and critiques of international schooling. By the end, you will be better able to critically evaluate how different frameworks conceptualize teaching and learning in diverse contexts.
Assessment
A multimodal portfolio combining critical analysis, a visual comparison of curricula, and a reflective video or audio piece. This format balances academic rigor with creativity and produces professional artifacts that you can share with your current school and prospective employers.

Drawing on global standards such as the InTASC Model Core Teaching Standards, you will learn how to create engaging learning environments, differentiate instruction, and strengthen reflective practice. You will examine theories of development, second language acquisition, inclusive education frameworks, and strategies for supporting multilingual learners and students with SEND. The course equips you to design differentiated, engaging, and equitable learning experiences that promote participation and progress for all learners.
Assessment
Inclusive Lesson Plan Portfolio consisting of three differentiated lesson plans with resources for EAL/ELL and SEND learners, plus a reflective commentary. This assessment demonstrates your ability to design inclusive learning environments and justify your choices with theory and evidence.

The practicum is the PGCE (International) capstone, bringing together your learning through a sustained period of tutor observations of your classroom practice. You will apply your knowledge of child/adolescent development, inclusion, curriculum, and teaching methods to create positive, inclusive learning environments. Key themes include professional identity, classroom climate, intercultural competence, ethics, safeguarding, and reflective practice.
Assessment
A Professional Practice Portfolio including lesson observations (diagnostic, experimental, and assessed lessons), peer observations, guided planning, and reflective analyses linked to international professional standards. The practicum demonstrates your growth as a globally minded, learner-centered teacher and evidences your skills in international school teaching.
Program fee per teacher: $5,750. This covers seminars, tutorials, guided lesson planning, classroom observations, personalized feedback, assignments, and certification.
