Dr. Neal Rappaport teaches economics and business subjects at the American University of Phnom Penh and will be a visiting professor of economics in the academic year 2021-2022 at Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts. He earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Chicago, and his PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Rappaport served 27 years as an active-duty Air Force officer, including combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and staff positions at the Pentagon and the White House. Upon retiring with the rank of Colonel, taught economics, business, and finance courses at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs and Colorado College. He has consulted on numerous economic development, public policy, and strategic issues in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, and the Balkans. Dr. Rappaport enjoys the outdoors in the mountains of Colorado and the beautiful waters of the South Atlantic Ocean.
