Dr. KAO Sophal is an Associate Professor at American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP). He specializes in English language teacher training, English language teaching, school monitoring and evaluation, and English language curriculum and materials development. He used to hold a number of positions including an associate dean, a dean, a school director and a training manager for both private and public higher educational institutions, training education specialist and education consultant for international NGO’s, and National English Language teacher trainer and supervisor for the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport in Cambodia for many years. Moreover, Dr. Kao is an inspiring public speaker in self-leadership, motivation and teacher education. He is also an author of Practical Methodology in TESOL. His research interests include teacher education and teacher professional development, TESOL, school monitoring and evaluation, and school management and leadership.
