Dr. Shad Ahmad Khan is a distinguished academic leader, and researcher, whose work spans the Middle East and Asia. Recognized globally for his scholarly influence, he has been listed among the Top 2% of Scientists worldwide for both 2024 and 2025.
With close to fifteen years of experience in higher education, Dr. Khan has contributed significantly to institutional development, research advancement, and program leadership. He is serving as Associate Professor, Faculty of Business & Management, American University of Phnom Penh, and International Professor, University of Arizoan, USA. During his term at the University of Buraimi, Oman he has been central to strengthening the research culture, leading initiatives that resulted in a 100% increase in Scopus-indexed publications across the College of Business. He also played an essential role in the university’s successful OAAAQA institutional accreditation, reflecting his strength in academic governance and strategic planning.
His research profile is equally strong. Dr. Khan has published 84 Scopus-indexed articles, authored/edited 14 books, and contributed 78 book chapters, with more than 1,100 citations across major scholarly platforms. His work focuses on sustainable business practices, digital marketing, consumer loyalty, and higher education systems, fields in which he continues to be widely cited and consulted.
Dr. Khan’s academic reach extends internationally. He serves as Doctoral Supervisor in Rushford Business School, Switzerland, a Research Fellow at INTI International University, Malaysia, and a Visiting Professor in the Lyceum of the Philippines University. He is also Associate Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Pluralism and Economics Education (Scopus indexed) and a member of the Editorial Board of Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (Scopus & Web of Science indexed). He is also the Research Brand Ambassador & International Advisory Board member for International Association of Technology and Management-USA.
Alongside his academic roles, he has secured multiple funded research projects, including a major grant from The Research Council of Oman (Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation), and completed consultancy assignments for organizations in Bhutan and Oman. His teaching performance has been consistently strong, reflected in an average appraisal score above 93.
Dr. Khan holds a PhD in Business Administration (E-Marketing) from Aligarh Muslim University, India. He is well-versed in advanced research tools such as SmartPLS, SPSS, AMOS, NVivo, and VOSviewer, and is frequently invited as a keynote speaker at international conferences, including the QS Higher Ed Summit.
