Dr. Riccardo Corrado is an Associate Professor and Chair of the ICT program at the American University of Phnom Penh.
Dr. Corrado received his bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Trieste, Italy, where he also received his master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering. In 2012 he underwent the Italian national board exam for information engineering, organized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) to become a professional engineer. At the same University, in 2016, Dr. Corrado was awarded his Ph.D. in Information Engineering, with a research topic on video and audio transmission over IEEE 802.11 ad-hoc networks. Furthermore, in 2021, he was awarded a second master’s degree (MEd – ICT in Education) from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, with a dissertation focused on the implementation of MOOCs in the Cambodian higher education curriculum.
Dr. Corrado’s research interests involve wireless ad hoc networking, ICT in education, and ICT applications for sustainable development. Besides AUPP and MPTC, he is an advisor and collaborator of the STEAM program of the AUPP High School Foxcroft Academy, an associate editor of the Springer SN Social Sciences journal, and a senior research fellow of the Asian Vision Institute (AVI).
