Ken earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. He then worked in Japan for a video game company and a medical imaging company before obtaining a PhD in medical engineering at the University of Hokkaido. He taught Windows programming with C++ and AI with Python for several years while developing software used in medical research, especially radiation oncology.
