Jesse Orndorff is a human-computer interaction researcher and practitioner focused on low-resource contexts. Originally from Seattle, Washington, USA, he brings 20 years of experience in software and digital technology, including extensive work with governments and development organizations across Southeast Asia. This applied background grounds his research on usability, accessibility, and interface design in under-resourced settings. His current research areas include interaction design, mobile and inclusive computing, and AI in design practice.
Jesse is a doctoral student at the Design Studies Institute and holds a master’s in User Experience Design from Falmouth University, UK. He founded Glean Asia, acquired by Kydon Group in 2025, and serves as Open Source Advisor to UNICEF’s Venture Fund, where he mentors early-stage founders.
