Dr. Ilya Bystrov brings with him expertise that combines both industry and academic experience.
Dr. Ilya’s academic service can boast 25 years of full-time and part-time teaching in European and Middle Eastern universities. For the last 14 years he has been teaching internationally. In the duration of his academic career, he has actively contributed to the development of the hosting institutions through quality teaching, research, and administrative service. His dedication to teaching is evidenced by multiple rewards and certificates, the last of which he had been awarded for teaching excellence while teaching in the Sultanate of Oman.
His publication profile contains more than 30 multilingual publications, which include articles in journal and conference proceedings, book chapters, and textbook co-authorships. One-third of these publications are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
During his academic service, Dr. Ilya held multiple academic leadership positions, starting with the college-level committee chair and program manager and moving to assistant dean and vice-rector for international relations. In two out of three universities where he used to work before, he was a member of the university’s academic council for multiple terms and a member of the college board.
Dr. Ilya gained his industry experience in telecommunications, logistics, and consulting, progressing from a starting-level specialist to a head of department.
