Dr. Banchongsan Charoensook is an internationally trained economist, finance expert, and mathematician with extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. Before joining AUPP, he was a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Keimyung University in South Korea, where he also served as Chair of International Business at Keimyung Adams College, a highly selective international honors college. Prior to his appointment at Keimyung University, he spent three years as Assistant Professor of Economics at ALHOSN University in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Charoensook earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics for Economics from the University of Torino and Collegio Carlo Alberto (Italy), an M.A. in Finance from the University of Freiburg (Germany), and a B.B.A. from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Japan). He has published in several leading SSCI‑ and SCOPUS‑indexed journals including *The B.E. Journal of Theoretical Economics* (SSCI, “A” grade journal according to the Australian Business Dean Council List), *Annals of Economics and Finance* (SSCI, journal of Peking University, Wuhan University and CUFE), and *Estudios de Economía* (SSCI, journal of University of Chile). His highly multidisciplinary research spans game theory, strategic formation of social and economic networks, and the stability and efficiency of information networks. He has also served as a reviewer for several journals including *Mathematical Social Sciences* (SSCI, SCIMAGO Q1) and *Estudios de Economía*. He was also invited as a visiting scholar at INTI International University, a QS World University Rankings 500 university.
At AUPP, he is committed to bringing innovation to the classroom by integrating tools such as Python, R, Excel, and EViews in courses that bridge theory and real-world application. At his previous institutions, he successfully introduced these technologies to enhance learning and equip students with practical, market-relevant skills. He is enthusiastic about continuing and expanding these innovations within AUPP’s academic environment. A strong advocate for student mentorship, he is committed to the university’s mission of helping students “Study Locally, Live Globally.” His vision is to foster academic excellence, global engagement, and inclusive pedagogy through research-informed teaching and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
