Andrew Tattersall has been an English Language teacher and lecturer for eighteen years, and last year graduated with a Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other languages (TESOL) from the University of Nottingham. He worked for the last ten years at the Australian Centre for English (ACE) in Phnom Penh. Before coming to Cambodia, he worked at universities in Strasbourg, France, and Leeds, England as well as for the Strasbourg Chamber of Commerce and language schools in the city. He has presented more than five times at the CamTESOL conference and had research published into the activities of Cambodian students in English outside the classroom and is a member of the British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (BAEALP). Before teaching or lecturing in English he ran the Parliamentary office of a member of the UK Parliament. Outside work he enjoys reading, swimming, cycling, travelling watching football and cricket and has an ambition to have spent time in every Cambodian province – having visited almost 20 to date, this is following his achievement of having stayed in every European Capital city before the end of 2010.
