AUPP High School-Foxcroft Academy (AUPPHS-FA) is the first and only high school in Cambodia that offers an international high school diploma upon graduation from its U.S. affiliate, Foxcroft Academy. AUPPHS- FA students are not required to take the Cambodian National High School Examination.
Foxcroft Academy is located in the beautiful state of Maine, the school is one of the oldest boarding schools in the U.S. and contributes to a long-standing tradition of excellence. It was established as a private secondary school on January 30, 1823, becoming the first school to be chartered after Maine became a U.S state.
With a mission to provide students a rigorous college and career preparatory academic curriculum, the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) and Foxcroft Academy have developed a cross border international high school program designed to educate students to be internationally competitive and to allow students to explore diverse educational and scholastic opportunities.
AUPPHS-FA focuses on a four-year full-time grade 9 to 12 program that is taught in English. The program is designed to mirror the American high school education system. Classes are taught by highly qualified international and Cambodian instructors who are dedicated to helping students reach their greatest potential. AUPPHS-FA delivers a College Preparatory level (CP) curriculum that includes core courses in English, Mathematics, Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), Social Studies, World language, Physical Education and Health, and Art. With modern facilities including American standard classrooms, science laboratories, a spacious library, Center for Student Involvement, and more, AUPPHS-FA is ready to offer the best High School experience for its students.
In addition to the College Preparatory courses, AUPPHS-FA also offers advanced studies in STEAM subjects. STEAM Education is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The main objective of the program is to help students to take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process.
AUPPHS-Foxcroft Academy also provides for a study abroad program through its U.S. Affiliate school. AUPP students may travel and study at Foxcroft Academy (FA) for three months or multiple years, depending on the student’s desire. FA has had a boarding program since 2003 and has the capacity to house and support as many as 100 foreign students on its campus.
Upon graduation from AUPPHS-FA, students may continue their studies at the American University of Phnom Penh. AUPP High School’s affiliation with Foxcroft Academy also provides a great opportunity for its students to study abroad and pursue their education in the United States or other countries where the Foxcroft Academy diploma is recognized.
AUPP High School’s state-of-the-art campus is located at building #278H, Street 201R, Kroalkor Village, Sangkat Kilometer 6, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.
