Celebrating International Yoga Day

Happy International Day of Yoga (IDY) and Summer Solstice! The Ministry of Tourism and the Indian Embassy in Cambodia kicked off IDY 2016 this past weekend starting off in front of Angkor Wat in Seim Reap, Sokha Beach in Sihanoukville, and Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh under the sponsorship of Smart.

We are excited to celebrate IDY here at AUPP as Yoga Club has been in effect since early March of this year. As a reminder, please join us today at 4:15PM in the Center of Student Involvement!

Yoga is a method exercise combining physical, mental, and spiritual practice which originated in ancient India. It is known that yoga has many health benefits and reducing stress levels is one of the main reasons why adding yoga to your lifestyle will balance the mind, body, and spirit. Many of us can relate to how busy our day to day lives are and for many of us, it may seem close to impossible to find the time. However, committing 15-20 minutes out of our day for yoga will decrease stress levels and increase happiness.
