Training and Development Coordinator

Job Description

The Training and Development Specialist will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Center for Leadership and Professional Development (CLPD) as assigned by the Director. Under the strategic guidance of the Director may lead/organize the activities of the Center to develop, implement, and coordinate training and development programs for Center for Leadership and Professional Development (CLPD). This is not limited to the coordination of selecting course content and materials.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assesses training and development needs through communication with internal and external managers, instructors, and business or community representatives.
Assist with identifying unique training programs to fulfill partner/ business needs to maintain or improve job skills and stay abreast of industry training needs.
Continually research methods and techniques in workplace training and remain up to date on developments within the industry and competitors.
Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
Coordinates scheduling and follow up for training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
Works closely with Marketing team to develop flyers, social media campaigns etc.
Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
Track past and new training courses offered from CLPD.
Assesses training materials prepared by instructors as directed.
Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
Prepares training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses with Finance.
May select and assign instructors to conduct specific training and development.
May provide performance evaluations for training instructors.
Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Khmer.
Strong presentation skills.
Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology or related field required.
Proficient using Microsoft Suite.
Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service.
Experience analyzing business needs, development, and course implementation.
Extensive knowledge teaching theory for creating effective creating instructional materials.
Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service.
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
