Description:

Fulltime Faculty will develop and provide instructions to meet the unique needs of all students; advise, mentor, and assess student progress towards learning objectives; collaborate with colleagues to identify learning outcomes and establish consistent course delivery; and participate in professional development through peer review research and engage in the campus community throughout the academic year.

Job Responsibilities:

Instruction:

Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students as well as serving as a global lecturer to our partner institutions in their relevant discipline(s) of expertise.
Effectively communicating with students by providing clear learning expectations, feedback, and information to students.
Teaching students using real-world experience and intellectually engaging students in well-designed learning activities.
Implementing a student-centered approach that nurtures the students grasp of learning outcomes with students having the ability to apply practical application of learned course theories.
Assessing students’ overall performance based on their attendance, in-class participation, and performance in course assignments and examinations.

Planning and Preparation:

Maintaining an understanding and knowledge of resources available for the use of curriculum design, pedagogy, and learning outcome alignment.
Following and modifying (as needed) the course syllabus to ensure that it meets the department and university standards with no substantial changes made without the approval of relevant Program Chair and Department Dean and that it meets the needs of students with varying backgrounds.
Designing coherent instruction that includes lectures, in-class discussions, and other appropriate activities and assignments.
Technologically savvy: can utilize email, a range of online learning systems, including Canvas.
Reviewing student academic and behavioral data to plan instruction.
Consulting with Program Chair and Department Dean regarding classroom adaptations and instructional modification to ensure the achievement of the learning outcomes.

Professional Responsibilities:

Grading assigned papers, quizzes, exams, and other course assignments in Canvas timely.
Collaborating with colleagues across campus on course curriculum, cross-discipline course design, research, and community activities, etc.
Advising students on how to achieve educational goals.
Staying updated on innovations and changes within their course field.
Participating in professional development/campus activities as required.
Passionate and keeping abreast of their specific academic field(s) and education in general.
Participating in campus open house and relevant program recruitment activities.
Rotating their participation to serve in the following capacities: Faculty Advisor for Student Clubs/ organizations, Campus Committees, Chaperon student education and learning activities.
