AUPP Global Affairs Students on a Field Trip to Ho Chi Minh City

Global Affairs students from the Indochina Wars class went on a field trip to Ho Chi Minh City.

The class provides an in-depth exposure to events, leaders and decision-making processes related to the three wars which occurred in Indochina between 1940-1993. students delved into Vietnam’s culture through visits to significant sites such as the old center of colonial Saigon, the South Vietnamese Presidential Palace, the tunnels of Cu Chi, the Cao Dai Holy See, Black Virgin Mountain and several museums. The students also experienced life, different foods and different activities.

The trip served to expand their view about indochina and its significance in world affairs by physically experiencing the geography of relevant events, which blended academic knowledge with firsthand exploration, enriching their understanding of global affairs.
