Out Sokphalkun, a student from Siem Reap who received an A grade on the High School National Examination, has decided to study at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP). Ms. Out also received an offer of admission from the University of Health Sciences.
Mr. Puy Kea, an advisor to AUPP, said, “Ms. Out originally planned to attend the University of Health Sciences to become a pharmacist, but reconsidered and chose to enroll in AUPP’s Business and Economics program. To be admitted to AUPP’s collegiate program, all applicants are required to take a series of placement tests. Based on Ms. Out’s results, she will complete a Preparatory Semester before being admitted to the University’s collegiate program.”
Only eleven students in the country received an A grade on the National Examination this year. Two of the students, Ms. Out and Ms. Chan Kethyasopheara from Kampong Speu, have chosen AUPP. Seven of the students have decided to go to the University of Health Sciences, and the other two have opted for the Institute of Technology of Cambodia.
In interviews with Dap News, Thmey Thmey and Sabay, Ms. Out said, “After my thorough thoughts and consultations with my parents, I decided to come to AUPP. It is the finest university in Cambodia.”
AUPP is the only American university in Cambodia, providing the same quality education that can be obtained from attending a university in the U.S.
