Alumni Highlight: Sievlan LEN

Meet Sievlan LEN, a proud AUPP alumna and Stanford graduate, who has embarked on an incredible journey from her beginnings in Pouk District, Siem Reap. With a master’s degree in international policy at Stanford, Sievlan is making waves at the intersection of policy, data, and development, focusing on education and public finance to drive meaningful change.

After graduating, Sievlan faced the challenge of navigating a world filled with endless possibilities and no structured path. Rather than shying away from uncertainty, she leaned into it, landing her first job at Cornerstone Research almost by chance—but it quickly became clear that it was precisely where she was meant to be. Her journey then led her to the World Bank, where she focuses on crucial areas such as education and public finance, driving meaningful changes that impact countless lives.

Sievlan’s advice to aspiring AUPP students is stay curious, embrace challenges, and always be open to learning from those around you. Sievlan’s story is a shining example of how ambition, hard work, and an open mind can drive transformative change. As she often reminds herself and others: ‘Everyone has something to teach you,’ and ‘Conversations open doors.’
